My first pipe using the lathe is finished.
24 gr and 12 cm. The bowl is 4,5 cm x 3,3 cm. Chamber’s diameter is 22 cm.
I think it’s a feminine one. It will be a donation to the Rincón de la Pipa forum for a Christmas lottery.

I have been working on this egg shaped pipe during the afternoon. It’s my first test with the lathe. I’ll let the stain rest and I’ll polish it and finish the mouthpiece on sunday.

Working on a new pipe for my friend Melvin Mifsud from Malta.
Air holes ready and ebonite stem fitting perfectly. I choosed one of the best pieces of briar wood that I have. I will try not to ruin it with my poor skills:

My 10th pipe is here. Magic number and almost 2 months since I started learning to make pipes. I enjoyed this a lot and what was supposed to be a divertimento for some days is becoming a passion.
The pipe has a rosewood ring and I think is a hand pipe also while it’s small.
I like to imagine it as a small muscular horn.

I felt in love with the grain of a piece of briar from the badge I bought but the piece is so small.
I decided to try a horn while the baby is not arriving yet. It’s a good way to kill the stress.
